On a roll

I was on a bit of a card designing roll before Christmas. I love it when ideas that have been sitting scrawled in my notebooks finally get turned into cards. Holding a printed, packaged, finished iDear is the coolest.

It's been awhile since I posted anything here! I've been busy chasing a very active 14 month old, planning a wedding, designing these cards and re-designing this website.

iDear in Homestyle Mag!

Sorry about the blog neglect, it's been a very busy (and exciting!) week.

My Chalkboard Speechbubble magnets are in the latest homestyle magazine! Yippee!

My cards are now available at The Yellow Brick Road Boutique in Parnell. Its such a delightful, beautiful store! If you're in Auckland you ~~should~~ need to check it out! (yes it is as amazing as it looks in the pictures!)

I've also been working on a new website for iDear and getting cards ready for a few more lovely stores!

Happy New Year!!

I'm back! I hope you had a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

I've had a great holiday away but its nice to be home!
My little Reece monkey has had a great summer spashing around, eating sand (and grass and anything he can get his chubby lil hands on) and almost-crawling around (its more of a up on hands dragging motion at the moment, but he gets around pretty fast!)

On the iDear front there's some exciting stuff happening -will share more soon- and a couple of new card designs getting the final touches so that they're all ready for Valentines day! Yup almost that time already, I can't believe how fast this year is going!

*Going to the lights in the park in New Plymouth
*Having Reece meet some of his family for the first time
*Visiting my cards at Glassroots Gallery and meeting the super lovely Louise
*Watching Lukes sister and now brother-in-law get married
*Taking Luke and Reece on their first train ride in NZ (it was a miniture one, but so fun!)

Revealing the re-designed cards...

As well as designing a whole heap of Christmas cards I've also been busy tweaking and re-designing some of my original "iDear,'s".
I felt that they weren't quite how I'd imagined them to be, so I thought it was time to do something about it. And i must say, I'm quite proud of my little babies for how they turned out...

'Tis the season...

To be crazily busy! A month till Christmas- not sure whether thats exciting or stressful. I'm gonna go with exciting, thats much more fun.

I'm busy sorting out a few Christmas card orders, and getting stock ready to send down to Glassroots gallery (yes, a GALLERY! yippee!).

iDear, Christmas collection

Behold, the reason why the blog posts have been few and far between lately:

The cards I'm now printing on are a slightly smaller size to what I've used previously but are thicker and of a much better quality. I'm also now using 100% recycled kraft envelopes with "to" and "from" designs printed on the front and back:

My little helper?

Yup, Reece monkey is still chomping on everything he can find. When I finally got that card back off him it was missing its corners...uh ohh!

I've been busy, busy, busy with my Christmas card and gift tag range which I launched today at the Devonport Craft Market! They're a little different to previous cards and I'm now using recycled textured card stock and kraft envelopes. I was hoping to pop some photos up but the cameras batteries went flat so will do tomorrow (good photo-taking light permiting!).
