Our Wedding, Part 4: The photobooth

We loved the idea of a photo booth, its such a great way to get photos of guests! Even the one's who are usually pretty camera shy were grabbing props and jumping in!

We decided on a poloroid-type frame and I found some awesome props here. We set up our camera on a tripod and it was good to go!

Our Wedding, Part 3: The Reception

We held our Reception at the Houhora Big Game Fishing Club. It was right on the water, check out that amazing view!

A few décor details...

I designed place mats for our guests to fill out and printed them on kraft and white card stock.
We put a jar of felts on each table and a basket for the place mats on our present table.
On our honeymoon we went through them all, I haven't laughed that hard in ages!
(Update: Placemats have just been added to the store! Check them out here)

We hung streamers from the same hoop that was used for my parents wedding!

Rolling up in style, thanks to some amazing family friends

Cake cutting

I even managed to incorporate the "sprinkler"...

... and the "lawnmower" into our first dance

I'll be back with some photos of our photobooth!

Our Wedding, Part 2: The Ceremony

The most important, memorable part of our day. There were a few little gliches; the tide being too high to set up earlier in the morning, the bride being late (but that's nothing new with me..) and the groom having an accident a few days before the wedding (if you're wondering about the scar on his face) but I figure all these little quirks made the day extra memorable!

It was a relaxing, fun afternoon full of sun, sand, beachy music, special people.. and love of course!

"To sandy toes and salty kisses" a toast from Luke's sisters

Our Wedding, Part 1: The little details

I've been trying to post these for ages, but my computer didn't want to co-operate! Fickle technology *sigh*
But my laptops in a good mood today, so here goes..

It was such a wonderful sunny day (we thought getting married mid-Jan would be pretty safe, but the weather really did keep us guessing!) and lots of beautiful memories were made that we'll treasure forever!

Our wedding was a DIY one, which made the lead-up all the more fun (and stressful! haha). Thankfully we have some incredibly helpful and talented friends and family members!

Here are some of my favourite little details of the day.

Photo credit: Stacey Milich, we were totally wowed when we saw the photos, she did an incredible job don't ya think! :)

Tonnes of strung tissue pom-poms

The ceremony programmes
(perfect for fanning yourself on a hot day)

Envelopes filled with petals and rice..
"When the newleyweds walk your way, toss these petals and yell "Hooray!"

A whole lot of hand sewn bunting...
(I'm glad the sewing part's over!)

And boy did it taste good!
I'll be back with more pics of our ceremony and reception (there's far too many for one post!)
