I'm back! I hope you had a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
I've had a great holiday away but its nice to be home!
My little Reece monkey has had a great summer spashing around, eating sand (and grass and anything he can get his chubby lil hands on) and almost-crawling around (its more of a up on hands dragging motion at the moment, but he gets around pretty fast!)
On the iDear front there's some exciting stuff happening -will share more soon- and a couple of new card designs getting the final touches so that they're all ready for Valentines day! Yup almost that time already, I can't believe how fast this year is going!
Some other great summer moments...
*Going to the lights in the park in New Plymouth
*Having Reece meet some of his family for the first time
*Visiting my cards at Glassroots Gallery and meeting the super lovely Louise
*Watching Lukes sister and now brother-in-law get married
*Taking Luke and Reece on their first train ride in NZ (it was a miniture one, but so fun!)

Reece monkey update...
He's totally loving his jolly jumper and has this "look how clever I am" look as he bounces around. It's super cute.
Speaking of jolly jumpers, it makes me laugh that they try to pass them off as "scientific baby excercisors" and include all these "scientific" articles in the pack.

My little helper?
Yup, Reece monkey is still chomping on everything he can find. When I finally got that card back off him it was missing its corners...uh ohh!
I've been busy, busy, busy with my Christmas card and gift tag range which I launched today at the Devonport Craft Market! They're a little different to previous cards and I'm now using recycled textured card stock and kraft envelopes. I was hoping to pop some photos up but the cameras batteries went flat so will do tomorrow (good photo-taking light permiting!).

There he rolls!
The little Reece monkey is rolling! He'd been doing it here an there for awhile but he always looked really suprised and couldn't figure out what had happened. Now he gets a look of determination on his face as he flips himself over and a "look how clever I am" grin when he's rolled.
This last weekend we went to a wedding at the lovely Waipu Cove (I love love love weddings!) and Luke got to show off his little man to all his friends. Reece also went for his first little dip in the ocean, well he dipped his little toes in, and seemed to enjoy it. He was fixated on the waves (and his daddy splashing around pulling funny faces). It seems we've got ourselves a little beach baby already!

Reece monkey update
In case you were wondering what the little mans been up to...
If it can fit in his mouth he's chomping on it, if it can't he's licking it.

A little Tuesday loving
Sante bars. And coffee. Together.
A wee while ago at "Shaky Isles" in Kingsland I had a really yummy mocha with a Sante bar in it. Today I felt like something a little sweet so thought i'd re-create this little sip of heaven.
Step 1: Make coffee
Step 2: Pour coffee
Step 3: Add Sante bar to coffee.
Step 4: Enjoy!
I'm also loving this super cute giraffe onesie from my cousin Adele and how gourgeous little Reece Lightening looks in it!

Reece monkey takes flight...
Reece had his first trip on a plane today- up north to visit his Nana J, Poppa and Uncle Rickster. He was remarkably well behaved, I was worried he would decide that a plane that resembled a flying mini van (it was sooo tiny!) would be the perfect place to test out that voice and those lungs of his. He slept most of the way then woke up as we headed back down, smiling like crazy as we bumped along.I wonder if I should be worried- he's only three months and already enjoys travelling at speed!
After a morning of being proudly shown off by his Nana and Poppa, Reece lightening is having a big ol sleep. I can't believe how tiny he looks in the portacot! Bringing my little man to the home I grew up in is such a lovely feeling :)

Pieday Friday
Okay so I actually made these last night, I just like rhyming! My first ever lemon meringe pies! They were a bit of a mish to make but I'm super proud of these lil babies!
They look a bit burnt in the photos for some reason (I swear they weren't! haha) so this is the best I could get!
Reece had his first little lunch date with Savannah yesterday, how cute is this?!
Although they both look more interested in their fists then each other!

My weekend in pictures
The little man is in bed early tonight so I've actually got time to have a cup of tea (and finish it while it's hot!) and pop some photos of my weekend up. It was a quiet weekend with a bit of baking, a lot of cleaning- the ants have come marching in...to our kitchen!- and a trip to the beach. Hope your weekend was great too!

Fathers Day #1
Today was Lukes very first Fathers Day. The little Reece monkey seemed to know and showered him with smiles and attention (but remebered his mummy existed when it was snack time... funny that!).
A bit of playtime with daddy...
And to my dad:
Dad, thanks for everything you've done for me over the years and everything you still do for me. I hope you've had a great day. And Happy Poppa's day from Reece monkey!

#1 Inspiration
This little guy...
Finally someone who appreciates my dance moves and terrible singing!
So snuggley.
With such tiny little feet.
And a wonderful very proud daddy.
